Welcome to the Holy Week Reading Plan

Christ The King Community Church is encouraging everyone to set aside time each day of HOLY WEEK to read the Scriptures together and pray together. Gather as families, with friends or use this resource in your own devotional and prayer time. Each day's readings coincide with what is believed to be the actual day's events. Pray with us through the Scriptures as we prepare our hearts for the holiest of days, when we celebrate His resurrection with believers all over the world and proclaim with joy, "HE IS RISEN!" We will follow the steps of Jesus through Passion Week -- the week that changed the world.

The readings will begin on Sunday, April 2nd and continue each day until Easter Sunday, April 9th. You can click on the link below to access each day's Scripture readings and prayer points. The prayer points are designed to be a diving board into your own prayers, so dive deep!

We pray that you will be blessed and that you draw closer to Jesus as you follow his steps. As the Apostle John said, "These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." John 20:31.
DISCLAIMER: These readings are not meant to be a thorough theological presentation of the events leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. Neither is it meant to be a definitive statement about when each event recorded in the gospels actually happened. In a general sense, these readings allow us to become familiar with what Jesus and His disciples experienced and what important lessons and truths we can learn from their experience. Most of all it is our hope that we would all come to know Jesus more than we do already -- that as we draw near to Him, he will also draw near to us. James 4:8
