On Mission
As a church, we believe that God is actively involved in our world. He is not sitting back and watching us from a distance. God is currently on mission and invites you and me to be a part of what He is already doing -- right now... today!
MISSIO DEI
(the mission of God)
A great example of God on mission in our world is seen
in the life of Moses (Exodus 3).

In the burning bush, God announces: "I have indeed seen
the misery of my people in Egypt and I am concerned about
their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them..."

Then, He says to Moses, "So now, go. I am sending you to
Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt."

God was already at work to rescue His people and He invited Moses to participate in His work.
Today, God is still on mission... still at work around us reconciling people to Himself, rescuing people from the darkness that has settled over this world, and restoring people to new life... God's life. You and I have the privilege to join God in His mission today.

Missio Dei is our mission! God is at work in the ordinary... in our homes, in our schools, in our workplaces and in our communities. Our mission is to look for what He is doing in the lives of the people around us and join Him in that work.
"Stop asking God to bless what you are doing.
Get involved in what God is doing. Because it is already blessed!"
Eugene Peterson, a charismatic, Presbyterian minister who wrote
The Message: The Bible in Contemporary Language
In his hometown synagogue, Jesus announces the inauguration of the kingdom of God, through Him, and sets the stage for God's kingdom being within reach of every man, woman and child.
Jesus says He was sent to bring:

GOOD NEWS TO THE POOR -- RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVE -- RECOVERY OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND -- FREEDOM TO THE OPPRESSED -- A SEASON OF GOD'S FAVOR

Then, Jesus says to his followers...
"As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." After saying this... He said, "Receive the Holy Spirit." John 20:21
God's Mission Has Our Hearts

Like Jesus, we want to work with the Father in proclaiming the love and favor of God to every generation.
Will you join us in this mission – to proclaim the Good News to a waiting world?
The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news! Mark 1:15
