February 28, 2021 -- DAY 21 | The Vineyard
Isaiah 27: 2-3 (NIV) – In that day – “Sing about a fruitful vineyard: I, the Lord, watch over it; I water it continually. I guard it day and night so that no one may harm it.”
For CTK Vineyard: As we close out our 21 day prayer emphasis, we are praying Psalm 27:1... that God will build this house that is the CTK Vineyard and that he watches over us as His people. May we become an altar of His worship, a temple of His presence... prepared for His work here in The Woodlands & Spring.
For Vineyard USA: Today as we pray, we acknowledge that the Vineyard Movement belongs to the Lord. We humbly ask Him to continue to water us, guard us, that we might be a fruitful Vineyard that makes impact in the world for His glory.
February 27, 2021 -- DAY 20 | Leadership
Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV) – So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
For CTK Vineyard: Today we pray that Christ would give our church leaders who will, in love and humility, be committed to equipping and building up His Church... making ready a people prepared for the Lord.
For Vineyard USA: Today as we pray, we ask the Lord to raise up leaders in the Vineyard with the diverse gifts that our Movement needs in order to be fully equipped moving into the future.
February 26, 2021 -- Day 19 | Pastors
Jeremiah 3:15 (NIV) – Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding.
For CTK Vineyard: Today we are praying for our pastors and the pastors of churches throughout The Woodlands and Spring. We are praying that all of our churches and leaders will press into God's heart for the sake of our community... that God's purposes will be fulfilled and His glory will fill our land.
For Vineyard USA: Today as we pray, we lift up our local pastors. We acknowledge the pressure and workload of these men and women who are seeking to stay on mission during this incredibly confusing season. We ask God to heal, sustain, provide for and pour out His boundless grace on our local pastors today and always.
February 25, 2021 -- DAY 18 | The Church
Acts 9:31 (NIV) – Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.
For CTK Vineyard: Today we are asking that God would bring renewal to the Church at large and that He would continue to add to the number of those who are being saved here in The Woodlands & Spring... and around the world.
For Vineyard USA: Today as we pray, we bring before God the big “C” church. We acknowledge that God’s Church comes in many shapes, sizes, and colors. We passionately ask the Lord to bless and unify His church, as only He can, that she may represent His Kingdom and change the world.
February 24, 2021 -- DAY 17 | Our Country
Isaiah 56:7 (NIV) – These I will bring to my holy mountain and give the joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.
For CTK Vineyard: Today we are asking God to fulfill His purpose for the CTK Vineyard to become a House of Prayer for The Woodlands, Spring and for our nation. That we would be a people who press into the heart of God for the sake of our community.
For Vineyard USA: Today as we pray, we acknowledge that our country is wounded, divided, and struggling. We ask the Spirit of God to lead us to repentance for national pride and judgement. We ask Him to lead us to love our neighbor, pray for those we don’t agree with, and heal our land according to His will for our nation.
February 23, 2021 -- DAY 16 | Justice
Isaiah 1:17 (NIV) – Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.
For CTK Vineyard: Today we are asking God lead us to "do justice" as we open the door to the poor, the outcast, the outsider and those in the margins. May we be found faithful to demonstrate the compassion of Jesus to all.
For Vineyard USA: Today as we pray, we pour out our hearts to God for the people of the world who are powerless, poor, and marginalized. We ask Him for justice for all and that He would compel us, as people and a Movement, toward a lifestyle of compassion to make a difference in a hurting world.
February 22, 2021 -- Day 15 | Reconciliation
2 Corinthians 5:16-19 (NIV) – So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
For CTK Vineyard: Today we are asking God to make us a community of reconciliation. May we be a church that reconciles people to God and to each other. We pray that every tribe, ethnicity and tongue would come together as one... together following Jesus.
For Vineyard USA: Today as we pray, we acknowledge that God has called us all to be ministers of reconciliation. We admit that God has reconciled us to Himself. We humbly affirm that we are ALL made “new” through Christ. We passionately ask the Holy Spirit to help us be "reconcilers" as people and a reconciling community as the Vineyard Movement.
February 21, 2021 -- DAY 14 | Lament
Psalm 5:1-2 (NIV) – Listen to my words, Lord, consider my lament. Hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray.
For CTK Vineyard: We pray for mercy today. Especially for those who have been impacted by the virus and the results of the frigid weather this week. We ask God to show mercy and to meet the needs of each one in our community facing hardship and suffering.
For Vineyard USA: Today as we pray, we bring our pain and sadness before the Lord. We do not ignore our suffering and the suffering of those around us, so we trust God with even the deepest cries from our hearts and ask for His mercy all around.
February 20, 2021 -- DAY 13 | Hope
Romans 5:5 (NIV) – And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
For CTK Vineyard: Today we pray for Hope. In these days of lock-down due to COVID and to the weather it is easy to get discouraged and lose hope. Lets ask God to fill our hearts with the hope of the glory of God (Romans 5:2). We believe His glory will be revealed in our lives and in our community!
For Vineyard USA: Today as we pray, we remember the hope we have in Jesus, in His mercy, and in His infinite goodness. We ask God to sow His hope – that does not disappoint – into our hearts that we might spread it to our families, communities and beyond.
February 19, 2021 -- DAY 12 | Harvest
Matthew 9:37-38 (NIV) – Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
For CTK Vineyard: Today we pray for the Harvest. We are asking that God "would add to our number daily those who are being saved." We are also praying for God to send more workers for the Harvest that is to come.
For Vineyard USA: Today as we pray, we seek God for the heart of evangelism for the Vineyard Movement. That the Vineyard would be focused on sharing the Gospel of Jesus and equipping others to do the same.
February 18, 2021 -- DAY 11 | Healing
Matthew 10:7-8 (NIV) – As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.
For CTK Vineyard: We pray for a disciple making movement. We are asking God to use CTK Vineyard to make disciples that truly follow Jesus and obey everything He commanded... saying YES to HIM daily... bringing the kingdom of God near.
For Vineyard USA: Today as we pray, we ask God’s grace for our Movement and our future to continue the legacy of Jesus in being naturally supernatural – healing the sick, delivering the oppressed and demonstrating the Kingdom of God.
February 17, 2021 -- DAY 10 | Asking & Receiving
James: 4:2b-3 (NIV) – You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
CTK Vineyard: We pray for selfless faith. We are asking God to make us a giving church, that reflects our giving God. That we are unafraid to ask for whatever is on God's heart... no matter how big and impossible it may seem.
For Vineyard USA: Today, as we pray, we come as those not afraid to ask God for what we need. We pray for His wisdom. We pray for a fruitful Vineyard that follows His mission. We pray, Come, Holy Spirit.
February 16, 2021 -- DAY 9 | Heart Of The Leader
I Samuel 16:7 (NIV) – But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
For CTK Vineyard: We prayer for leadership. We are asking God to bring the leaders He desires for the CTK Vineyard. We are also asking for leaders that reflect the unity and diversity of God's eternal kingdom.
For VIneyard USA: Today as we pray, we ask for guidance from God in our leadership selection – that he would grant courage and direction that looks beyond the outside to select leaders who have a heart after His own heart.
February 15, 2021 -- DAY 8 | The Lord’s Purpose
Proverbs 19:21 (NIV) – Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
For CTK Vineyard: We pray for surrender. That we would surrender our ideas, dreams and plans and say YES to God's purposes for Spring and The Woodlands.
For VIneyard USA: Today, as we pray that God’s purposes prevail throughout each area of the Vineyard USA reorganization – new National Director, new National Team, new national structure.
February 14, 2021 -- DAY 7 | Discerning Process
Acts 15:6 (NIV) – The apostles and elders met to consider this question.
Acts 15:8 (NIV) – God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us.
For CTK VIneyard: Today we are praying for Unity. We are asking the Holy Spirit to guide us together as one body of believers -- followers of Jesus Christ. That together we would all be sensitive to hear His voice and obey His leadership.
For Vineyard USA: Today as we pray, we pray for the ability to discern God’s leadership and insight in our current context. We ask Him for the supernatural guidance that will help us navigate all that we, the Vineyard Movement, and the world, are working and living through.
February 13, 2021 -- DAY 6 | God’s Wisdom
James 3:17 (NIV) – But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
For CTK Vineyard: Today we are praying for submission. God's ways are higher than ours... He alone sees the end from the beginning. May we submit to God in all things concerning our Church, our families, and ourselves.
For Vineyard USA: In the midst of all the great ideas and organizational systems, today we pray for God’s true wisdom to intervene and guide the leaders who are making decisions for Vineyard USA.
February 12, 2021 -- DAY 5 | God’s Ways
Psalm 119:15-16 (NIV) – I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word.
For CTK Vineyard: Today we are praying for humility. As we consider God's ways, we see a God who serves and gives Himself. May we walk in humility, preferring others over ourselves.
Vineyard USA: Today as we pray, we acknowledge our need and desire to walk in God’s ways and not our own. We pray that, as a Movement, the Vineyard would stay humble, grounded in Scripture, and attuned to God’s ways in all we do.
February 11, 2021 -- DAY 4 | God’s Will
Romans 12:2 (NIV) – Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.
For CTK VIneyard: Today we are praying for obedience. May we be a people who say YES to God... pursuing His heart and instead of our own ambitions.
Vineyard USA: Today, as we pray for God’s will for Vineyard USA, we pray that our minds, and the minds of our leaders would be renewed and empowered to recognize God’s good will for the future.
February 10, 20201 -- DAY 3 | Discernment
Psalm 119:125 (NIV) – I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.
For CTK Vineyard: Today we pray for discernment. We are asking the Holy Spirit to help us recognize what God is specifically doing in our community and how we can join Him in that work.
Vineyard USA: Today as we pray, we pray for the ability to discern God’s leadership and insight in our current context. We ask Him for the supernatural guidance that will help us navigate all that we, the Vineyard Movement, and the world, are working and living through.
February 9, 2021 --DAY 2 | Asking God
Matthew 7:7-8 (NIV) – Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
For CTK Vineyard: Today we pray for opportunity. Pray that the doors will be open to bring the Kingdom of God near in Spring & The Woodlands.
Vineyard USA: Today we pray together as those who ask, seek, and knock – asking for God’s clear, best future for the Vineyard moving forward – a future that glorifies Him and serves the world.
February 8, 2021 -- DAY 1 | Wisdom
James 1:5 (NIV) – If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
For CTK Vineyard: What we knew as "normal" is no more. We are asking God for wisdom on how to "be the Church" in this new season ahead.
Vineyard USA: Today as we pray, we ask for the wisdom we need from God. We humbly ask Him to reveal His creative insight and unshakeable pathways to help us find His good rhythms, teams, and structures in our lives and in the Vineyard Movement that honor His Kingdom, now and into the future.
"I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before our God and ask him…. So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer." -Ezra 8
